Suncadia (Prospector)
Cle Elum, Washington- Address3600 Suncadia Trail, Cle Elum, WA 98922, USA
Situated close to the old mining and logging towns of Roslyn and Cle Elum, the Suncadia Resort lies within a massive 6,400-acre property that first opened for business early in the new millennium, with the Arnold Palmer-designed Prospector course arriving in 2005 and the friendlier Rope Rider course appearing eight years later.
Enjoying stunning views of the surrounding pine forest and towering granite peaks of the Cascades, both of these public 18-hole layouts are supplemented by the private Tumble Creek course which is a Tom Doak design that has only been available to members and their guests since it debuted in the summer of 2006.
The Prospector extends to 7,112 yards from the back markers, playing to a par of 72. Feature holes include the short par four 5th which wraps itself around a small lake and there’s more water to contend with to the right of the par four 9th. On the inward half, golfers face tough short holes at the 12th and 15th before concluding their round at the left doglegged par five 18th.
